AFTER EFFECTS 2022+ · DRAW THE EASE, APPLY IT
Apply any easing curve to your keyframes in one click.
Draw the curve with two handles or pick one of 26 presets, and apply it to your keys as real After Effects ease. So the motion matches what you pictured, without nudging handles in the Graph Editor.

01 / THE CHORE
You know the curve. After Effects wants numbers.
You have a curve in mind, maybe a cubic-bezier from CSS or a design tool, and After Effects only offers Easy Ease or influence and speed values per keyframe. So you drag handles in the Graph Editor until it looks close, or type numbers into Keyframe Velocity and check the result. Then again on the next property, and again when you want the same ease on another layer.
// what you do today, per ease // select keys, apply Easy Ease // open the Graph Editor // drag handles until it looks close // or Keyframe Velocity: type // influence and speed per key // repeat for the next property // Keyframe Presets turns a curve // into influence and speed on the // selected keyframes, in one click.
02 / HOW IT WORKS
Pick a curve, apply it.
Select the keyframes
At least two neighbouring keyframes in the Timeline, on one property or several. Every pair of neighbours gets eased.
YOU GET
Ease a whole set of properties at once.
01
Shape the curve
Click one of 26 presets, drag the two handles, or paste a cubic-bezier from the web and press Enter. Overshoot is allowed.
YOU GET
The motion you pictured, not a guess at numbers.
02
Click Apply to Selected Keyframes
The ease lands as real influence and speed on each keyframe, with Position and Scale handled correctly.
YOU GET
Native keyframes anyone can open and tweak, no plugin needed.
03
Save the ones you like
Keep curves you've tuned in your own preset library, next to the 26 built-in ones.
YOU GET
The same feel across every project.
04
03 / USE CASES
New ease or one you already have.
A curve from the web
A developer hands you cubic-bezier(0.215, 0.61, 0.355, 1). Paste it into the field, apply it to your Opacity or Position keys, and the motion follows that curve. Copy any curve back out the same way.
Reuse an ease you've tuned
Select two keyframes you've already eased and click Read from Keyframes. The curve loads into the editor, ready to tweak, apply elsewhere or save as your own preset.
Worst deviation from the curve in a real render.
The curve-to-ease maths was checked against a real render of a Cubic Out opacity fade, and the worst deviation was 0.57%, the floor of an 8-bit measurement. The tests also read each eased curve back from the keyframes and get the same numbers out, for Opacity, Position and Scale.
04 / DETAIL
Built for real projects.
Presets
26 ready-made curves
Linear, Easy Ease, and Sine, Quad, Cubic, Quart, Quint, Expo, Circ and Back, each as In, Out and In Out.
Overshoot
Bouncy moves allowed
Handles can go above and below the curve's range, for Back-style overshoot. The graph grows to show the whole curve.
Native
Real After Effects ease
The curve is written as influence and speed on each keyframe. No expressions, and nothing extra is left in your project.
Dimensions
Position and Scale done right
Position eases along its path with one ease, and Scale gets one ease per dimension, the way After Effects does it.
Library
Your own presets
Save any curve under a name. Your presets are kept on your computer, so they stay with you from project to project.
Undo
One undo step
Each apply is one undo step, named after the curve, such as Edit › Undo Keyframe Presets: Cubic Out.

REQUIREMENTS
Which properties does it work on?
Any keyframed property you can select two neighbouring keyframes on, such as Opacity, Scale, Position and Rotation. Hold keyframes have no curve between them, so Read from Keyframes tells you so instead of guessing.
Does it add expressions to my project?
No. It sets the influence and speed on the keyframes themselves, so the ease stays after you close the panel or uninstall it.
Can I use curves from CSS or design tools?
Yes. Paste cubic-bezier(…), a bare list of four numbers, or linear into the field and press Enter. The field always shows the current curve, ready to copy.
Which versions of After Effects are supported?
After Effects 2022 and newer.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once, and every 1.x update is free.
How do I install it?
Install the free ZXP Installer from aescripts, drag in the .zxp file, restart After Effects, and open Window › Extensions › STRAT Keyframe Presets. Paste your licence key and click Activate. Moving to a new computer later? While online, click Deactivate this computer in the panel on the old one, then click again to confirm.
What if something doesn't work?
One undo puts the keyframes back as they were. Then reply to your receipt email and tell us what happened.
